Serial number in EMC

Serial number in EMC was created by CygnusX1
Not sure this goes here and I did a search without any luck so here it goes.

If I receive a good EMC and need to change the computer serial number in it, how would I go about it with a hex editor?

i usually find the serial number by searching "hwc" and on the same line a few spaces back you will find the serial.
