Hi,

Hopefully someone maybe able to help as I have run out of ideas.

I have and A1312 EMC2429 iMac with EFI lock. I have set up as per instructions but have been unable to get it to read once.

I am using :
Raspi version 2
Chip clip with wires less than 10cm
It uses the Macronix MX25L4606E chip
if have made an efi folder to write to.

I installed Flashrom using the 'sudo apt-get install flashrom' command as everytime i tried to clone the repository and 'sudo make' i got the error 'par_master internal'. I suppress the warnings and it installed but I still had 'No EEPROM found'.

I have tried disconnecting the 8 pin and powering from the mains cable.
I have upgraded to a 2A plug.
I read 3.28v on pin 17 and at the board.
A small green led lights on the mainboard when ever it connect the chip clip with either the mains or pin 8 connected. This I think tells me power is going to the board.
I have disconnected pins 3,7 and 8 as some people say they are not needed.
I have tried reading , probing the chip with the sudo flashrom command but always recieve the 'No EEPROM'.
I have used the -c to try specifying the chip but to no avail.

I thought I had maybe damaged it but upon reassembly it powers correctly. it will not PRAM or cmd+r as it goes straight to EFI lock.

Please share anything I have not tried and I will give it a go.
