NOOB question for using raspberry pi for EFI read

sudo So i have been following the tutorial step by step for using a raspberry pi to read/write an EFI chip on apple macbook. Im now to the part where im going to use flashrom to read the chip. But when i do any kind of command for flashrom, i get command not found.

sudo flashrom ~L
sudo: flashrom: command not found

sudo flashrom -L is the symbol in front of the L a dash or a tilde?

but either way i get command not found. I am suppose to do a some kind of install of the flashrom or what am i missing here? This also applies for sudo flashrom ~~help, and if i try to do man flashrom, i get no manual entry for flashrom. Did i get a corrupt download? Please be aware this is my first time even messing with linux. Thanks again for any help.

wasn't working because i was missing sudo apt-get install libusb-1.0-0-dev
