the board number is usually embossed on the PCB... not on a sticker. it will be on the visible side of the MLB when you remove the bottom lid

Embossed on the upper right corner, under the silkscreen etched on the PCB:

NYKS
34V-0
NM13
424T
21B

I kept the formatting as close as I could. Is this one you're looking for?

P.S. Thank you so far, for trying to help me.

you're on the right track, but the board number will be in the 820-XXXX format.

For the life of me, I couldn't find any other markings on it.

I can work with that I think. Can you send me a pic of the data?

Those numbers don't resolve and I've got a 2013 MBA which reads:

Also I can try to lookup board# by your serial

Remove the SSD / flash and the board number should be under there. If not there then look by the RF shield the number will be right under the your speaker wire plugs into on the MLB. Umm, you need to look at the solder mask, man. You need a good light and a magnifier would not go amiss. Below is what you are looking for:

If it's a 13" 2013 or 2014 it will be an 820-3437
If it's a 13" 2015 it will be 820-00165
If it's a 11.6" 2013 it will be 820-3435 (which is next to the CPU)
If it's a 13" 2012 it will be 820-3209 (which is by the RF shield)..... So on

The jiz looking shit on the boards is flux from rework. I got a shitload of board here so if I can be of any help with a read or whatever...

PS. Just search SSN in your hex editor and look at the serial number... IF it's rubbed off the MacBook base that is.

Should I upload it as is, or change the serial number first?

Sadly, no dice. Still in the same condition. No sound, no screen, fan spinning up and 10 seconds later, down.

You know that the 3437 boards will not turn on right away. It will go like this...

Fan spin, fan stop.
Fan spin, fan stop.
Fan spin, wait for it...... screen on, chime.

If that does not happen unplug battery, apply the MagSafe, hold down alt+cmd+P+R together. Watch the fan go 1, 2 ,3 times spin. Hold the key combo for a good while... Like 45 sec or so, maybe longer. Eventually you will have your screen kick in. If no screen kicky iny then get an optical mouse and plug to USB. Look at the light on the bottom of the mouse. Does it light up red?

I'm sure you've tried an SMC reset.
Have you tried cleaning the ME in that dump I uploaded?

Also, I've got so many threads I'm on, I can't recall... have you tried flashing back the original dump?
If so, did it power on?

Sorry, thanks

I cannot clean the ME region because the blog you referred to had dead links, fount the software to detect it, but it was buggy, couldn't make it to work. I tried to flash back the original dump, still nothing, also not sure if the original dump was read correctly. Tried SMC reset, no dice.

Thanks for uploading that. I will have to fix the blog links.

I found that dump in the forums here. Allegedly working with forum corroboration.

If cleaning the ME on that and flashing doesn't work, I may start to look more closely at your equipment setup and your MacBook hardware.

Have you successfully performed this work on other MacBooks with your current equipment?

Firmware: Intel ME
Version: 9.5.3.1526
Release: Production
Type: Region, Extracted
FD: Locked
SKU: 1.5MB Apple Mac
VCN: 2
PV: Yes
Date: 10/05/2013
FITC Ver: 9.5.3.1526
Platform: Mobile
Latest: No

This is the output from the bin uploaded by reverenalc, the same exact output as from my original dump. Now the question is, from that list with clean ME regions, which one should I choose, because there is no exact match.

Thanks guys, so far.
