Wifu

Hi Guys!

I am new to Ghostlyhaks, and also I am new to the culture. I have recently dug myself into the idea of "hacking" and have become quite obsessed. I am seeking some guidance and help with something I am currently working on.

I am running a script called Wifu which is used to crack WEP, and honestly I am just trying to figure it out and learn as much as I can. I was able to find a complete dictionary file online, but now I am being asked for the full path to the ivs file I want to crack. I somewhat understand what an ivs file is but I cannot figure out how to capture it or find one.

I can attach screenshots if that will be helpful! Any direction or advice is appreciated as I am new on my journey! Thanks guys!

I guess I do not understand basic network exploitation then. I do not quite understand the capturing of the IVS or those steps. I do understand that most routers don't use WEP anymore, I believe that most are using WPA now??

So maybe I should start with this: do you have any recommendations for a starting place for a noob like me? Obviously I am learning what I can from the internet and just digging in and reading. Tutorials would definitely be helpful! I am a developer but it seems I do not have a deep understanding of the hardware or the way all the pieces plug together.
