2015 MBP - EFI destroyer lite - failed

Hello, I am hoping someone here can help me with a bizarre issue. I have a macbook pro 2015. EFI destroyer lite is saying the firmware password is removed, but upon booting it is still showing. Hopefully im missing something simple, but ive attempted everything and triple checked. The EFI destroyer turns blue like the instructions then slow blink green showing password was successfully removed. Yet when i turn it back on the password remains. no matter what cord i try or power source, magsafe in or out doesn't matter i get the same result.
