I opened up my 2015 mba and noticed the Header is a different size. It is not compatible with the EasyFlash. It seams like the female connector for the header is half the length of the EasyFlash.
I havent bothered to pull the logic board out but is it possible to still flash the EFI by marrying directly to the chip rather than through the header?

Yep. Its still possible to flash but your going to need a hot air station to remove the SPI rom chip and connect wires to it to flash it with flashrom. It can be done its just more work
I don't recommend it to the faint of heart I have recently ruined a board going this route! But it is absolutely possible with good equipment and a steady hand. If you get the pinout of that header to the chip it will help me to create a clip for the 2015 models. I am still trying to get my hands on the newer schematics.

I am confronted with the same smaller header on a MBA A1466 EMC 2925 that I'm working on and I not comfortable soldering wires to it.
Eager to see if Ghost pulls a rabbit out of the hat and makes a verion of the Easy Flash for this new header.

I've managed to take the logic board out for a photo session.
I was surprised to see that the EFI chip is not a MX25L6473E but instead it is a Winbond 25Q64FVIQ.

Thanks for that, I will try and find a way to post all the pics I have so far of chip locations etc. I will be working on the clip as soon as possible, but I am only one man.
Anyone offering the above service has access to Apple servers to get the scbo files. Unfortunately, this is not an option for most of us so we have to go about this in other ways. If any of you want to donate an SCBO file(s) to me I would be glad to try and analyze how to create one.
