After reading forum , and service manual from motherboard Air A1534 i trace Pinout to my programer. I can read full dump but no write.
Im using cheap programer CH341. When i try to erase or write i have "The chip and contents are in disagreement."
I have select windbon W25Q64BV but if i try to audetect chip type. Programer detect MXIC - MX25L6405D but cannot write.
I don´t have desoldering BGA i try to program via pads pin out.
Any suggestion or int to point me to problem.
Thanks
best regards

it's mean that the readed dump or the edited one is not exactly same size as chip internal memory.
it should be exactly same bytes available in EEPROM memory.

if i helped you Buy me a Coffee

Yes you can get all sorts of nonsense when applying wrong voltage or excessive speed to chip.

Please ensure your vcc is 3.3v

Hello friends, if it is a logic board M 12 "2015 - A1534 820-00045, it has 2 SPI chips, one of 1.8v and another of 3.3v!

The 3.3v is next to the JTAG connector for SPI reading!

The other SPI Chip is close to the battery connector!

Interesting. I've only had a few 12s so far, thus my experience is limited.

I'm now interested to look at schematics again.

Which chip is interfaced via debug header?

Hi friend, it's the U6100 3.3v Chip that is read by the connector!

And the U8800 is 1.8v!

As shown in the schemes below!

Is that in fact the U6100 is BOOTROM!

And the U8800 and SSDROM.

not fully tested at this point but should be considered working on macs with 12pin debug header

I´m receiving an emc2756, gold, 1.2Ghz in a couple days. Don't know if code is 4 digits or 6 digits yet.

Do you guys know if the chip that communicates with the port in which the Easy clip version 3 connects (the new one, the white clip) is 3.3V or 1.8V?

Will my typical eBay programmer adjust the voltage, or should I just leave it with power on and remove the power cable to the clip?

Any help would be welcome, I can also post photos if you guys need them. thanks!!

actually im having problems erasing chip and writing back to it and before i start messing with it i wanted to just check to make sure my checksum matched one of a clean one so if u wouldnt mind just posting checksum of a clean if available id appreciate it.
thanks

I know how to use Hex editor to remove password after $SVS, I need checksum from dump to determine if i have read correctly before I erase and attempt to write. thanks

imo if you do that, a clean GOOD dump will not have the same checksum, you need to remove the $SVS & the password that follows it.
