Cracking iCloud locked MacBooks.

Hey so I am very green when it comes to hacking but also am extremely interested at the same time. I would really like to know more about the process on cracking the iCloud lock on MacBooks. I Know there is a way to remove the iCloud using a special device that plugs into the usb port but is there any other way? Something quicker? Any information will be appreciated. Thanks.
