I am lost on the pinout as well...plus one more q. was created by BURD
I got RPI up and running, compiled flashrom and that is working as well. The /dev/spiodev0.0 and 0.1 is also running as it wasn't enabled from the start.
Question 1: Why is raspi-blacklist empty? Did I miss a step or is this normal?
Question 2: Pin out for my particular chip, I am kind of lost where I would start, nothing is marked on this PI

The RPI's pin #1 marked with square soldering pad, you can see it at back RPI PCB side. If you take a look on RPI as you showed at pics then 'pin #1' is a rightmost in the top row pin.

The blacklist file will be empty on most newer pi's. That is why I am redoing the tutorial (along with other reasons). The pinout to the pi from the clip/chip will be posted with more of an explanation in the revised tutorial

Thanks for help. If I dont get around to do this today then I wil probably do it after I get back from my honeymoon, June 7th or somewhere there abouts. I want to do this today but things can get hectic at work on fridays. Hopefully by the time I get back, Gho5t will have the new tutorial up.

On the thaGH05T's diagram 26-pin connector is shown. Diagram corresponds to the GPIO notation, so if asking about pin1 on the diagram then it is leftmost in the lower row (3.3v)

Upload pictures of your setup that are clearly denoted. The output you received was just probing the various chips and then not finding one basically. You are going to need to ensure the correct pin-out. What can I do to make the pin-out more clear to not just help you, but others in the future.

That wont be until I come back June 7th. I guess I am going to have to put this off for the next two weeks while i deal with my shit here. I will revive this thread when I get back. Thanks for help everyone.
