This is my first time using a raspberry pi at all, so bear with me.

I'm following therealjayvi's tutorial (thanks for that, btw). I'm trying to install flashrom but being met with this error. Any ideas?

I should also note, I tried the "git config flashrom.offline-builds false" and I get "error: could not lock config file .git/config: Permission denied"

Thanks. Those are basically the same steps therealjayvi put in. The problem is when I get to "sudo make" or "sudo make install". It gives me the error from the picture above.

It doesn't seem to want to install. The files are in the flashrom folder on the root of the raspberry pi.

I tried again 2 more times with the same results. I'm following the tutorial exactly but it stops when I try to install flashrom.

Is there some other method to installing flashrom?

I've attached the entire terminal input/output from my latest attempt. You should be able to open it in any text editor.

Well, therealjayvi helped me out. Turns out I needed to add a few repositories and install the newest libusb.

It worked great and now I've got 3 imacs that aren't bricks!

Thanks for the help!

Try these:

sudo apt-get install libftdi-dev

sudo apt-get install libusb-dev

sudo apt-get install libusb-1.0-0

sudo apt-get install libusb-1.0

Then cd back to the flashrom folder as outlined in the tutorial, and try "sudo make" and "sudo make install".
