After a hard drive failure on a Mac Mini 2.6 i7(A1347 emc 2570) I unwittingly used an OSX install key that had clover on it.
It seems to have bricked my mac mini. On powering on it runs into a loop of infinite chimes (about a second between them), no screen etc...

I dumped my (corrupted I assume) efi contents using my raspberry pi. The dump file contents looks correct (contains my serial number and similar regions etc). So I assume clover messed with my ME region. I tried updating using method here.

Still infinite chimes

I found a dump here updated the serial and flashed that back to the mac mini.

Still infinite chimes, but when I dumped that back out after starting the mac and getting chimes I can see the dump of the chip now has some differnces.

Specifically:
G.f.x.-.N.v.r.a.m.-.C.r.a.s.h.-.D.e.v.i.c.e.:.0.1.6.6.8.0.8.6
M.e.m.o.r.y.C.o.n.f.i.g...RLE

written to the EFI.

Has anyone experienced this before? I think its the Intel GFX HD 4000 crashing.

Is it possible to use an i5 efi on an i7 machine?
