Apple Battery Communications

I'm tempted to hook up an oscilloscope to a few macbook batteries as the systems are on. Given the plethora of information in System Profiler, there is clearly a communication channel at work here that could be exploited.

Charlie Miller did some research in 2011 and I'm curious to know how much has changed about the protocol if at all and what vulnerabilities it could present.

I'll be posting probe information here when I get around to it - but if anyone has recent news please share it.
