Reply: IMAC EFI PASSWORD

 I truly am not sure how this happened, i was looking into setting up a bootcamp partition and there was a problem installing the partition, i found some information that led me to believe it might be partially remedied by restting the p-ram. after attempting that i resset to the black screen and password prompt with a lock. this sit e appears to be one of the few places that might offer a reasonable chance at getting my computer back, outside of taking it to apple which i could try but i dont think will go well. simply put i got this computer second hand from a friend of a person whom i don't speak to anymore and would not br willing to speak to me much less asist me. Bad Break up but certainly nothing illegal about it, but i dont think its sufficient for apple. if anyone can help plesae let me know where to start. imac 2017
