wait i'm super confused. flashrom identified a winbond chip and read it?
what's broken?
Hello, I tried with this but it didn't work BUT I tried something else (YES SOMETHING NEW).try connecting the VCC, powering the mac off, leaving battery and magsafe connected, and attempting a read.
i'm very confused. it should be working. double-check that all of your wires are firmly connected.. perhaps reseat them? looking at your pictures, it seems correct, but here's another simplified GPIO pinout to follow:
ensure your battery is fully charged, and connected to the mac along with the magsafe charger.
remove the VCC pin from your easy flash clip, but leave the rest of the wires (including ground) connected.
power on mac with ALT key until you reach the padlock screen
close the lid, flip it over, and connect to the chip
Sadly nopower on mac and let boot to the "this computer is disabled" screen
close the lid, flip it over, and connect to the chip
remove the SSD, power on the mac and boot to the [?] screen
close the lid, flip it over, and connect to the chip
you have the clip correctly connected.

one of these configurations should work
i have just done so recently
Hello,
Nothing change :/Try powering the Mac on to the EFI lock screen, closing the lid, and connecting to the chip then.
I've this, how can I do this ?Try booting to iCloud lock screen, closing and connecting.
Is it the top connector ? (Sorry I'm a noob with Mac)Or, try removing ssd, powering on to (?) screen, closing lid and connecting.
Nothing changeAlso experiment with removing the vcc pin
