Have you tried to take out one stick of RAM, clear the PRAM and boot the system?

Shut down the Mac and disconnect the power from it.
Open the machine.
Change the RAM configuration. Add or remove RAM so the amount is altered.
Close the machine and plug it back in.
Start up the machine and reset the PRAM by holding down the following keys while it boots: Command+Option+P+R You must hold these keys until you hear 3 chimes.
Once the machine starts you can then shut it down, reinstall the RAM, and boot the system.

If I helped you buy me a latte!

I remove the top RAM stick, take the bottom RAM stick and put it into the top slot, then reset the PRAM. Works every time for me!

@CygnusX1, I have a utility in the blog HERE that can be used to deobfuscate the passcode on 2010 macs and earlier from the dump which can be pulled directly from within OSX using flashrom.

@Med_Outgha, The EFI passcode for your Mac is "kayk1310". Enjoy ;)

simply change the ram configuration, then reboot the iMac holding: CMD-OPT-P-R. hold them until you hear it chime again. then your lock is removed.

With a windows keyboard you will use the windows button.

Win-ALT-p-r

Also there's a button called caps-lock.

try with normal usb keyboard.

after procedure is done if os x is locked
you will need to boot in single user mode to remove the AppleSetupDone
then u can create new user to log in to os x.

I have tried win+alt+p+r and single user mode but my imac boots normal all the time. The Only thing working is when i press alt it goes to efi password and i don't press any key while booting it boots to os which also has password.
It is driving me crazy.

It doesn't matter the order in which you press the keys, what matters is that you hold them all down simultaneously and continue to hold them all until the machine reboots.

If booting with ALT brings you to the EFI lock screen, try booting with CMD-R (win-r) and see if that takes you to the lock screen as well. That will at least verify that your mac is recognizing the cmd key

Win + R also brings the password screen. But win +alt+R+P does not reset pram.
Anyway i learned something about keys. Thanks
And also the code somebody suggest out of my efi dump worked.
